Desktop Support Technician – Level 2/3

Location: Midtown Manhattan, NYC (100% Onsite)

Job Type: Temporary Contract – 1 Month

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician (Level 2/3) for a one-month onsite contract assignment in Midtown Manhattan. The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT professional who can troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and end-user technical issues in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/3 desktop and end-user technical support for Windows and macOS environments.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, and access-related issues.
• Handle laptop provisioning, imaging, deployment, and equipment replacements.
• Troubleshoot VPN, Wi-Fi, and basic network connectivity issues.
• Escalate infrastructure-related issues and coordinate with internal IT teams.
• Document support tickets, resolutions, and technical issues.
• Provide responsive, professional onsite support to employees and executives.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on desktop support experience, including Level 2/3 troubleshooting.
• Strong experience supporting Windows 10/11 and macOS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and enterprise applications.
• Experience with hardware diagnostics, laptop deployment, and endpoint troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless networking.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and contribute immediately with minimal training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, or Jamf.
• Experience supporting executives and VIP users.
• Familiarity with endpoint security and device management.
• Previous experience in fast-paced corporate environments.
