The CAD Designer will own the design of key assemblies and subsystems for data center products, driving drawings through prototype, validation, and into production while ensuring accuracy, clarity, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities:Independently develop and release models and detailed drawings for air handling units and their sub-assemblies.
Coordinate with Engineering and Operations to optimize designs for cost, performance, and ease of assembly.
Lead updates to structured BOMs, ensuring all electrical and mechanical components are correctly specified and version-controlled.
Review vendor prints and integrate supplier models into in-house assemblies.
Drive continuous-improvement initiatives in the design process, such as template creation or library consolidation.

3+ years of hand-on design experience in a mechanical or HVAC manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with 3D Modeling software, preferably Solidworks. IronCAD experience would also be beneficial.
Experience in electrical cabling design is beneficial, preferably using Solidworks Electrical and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
Proficiency with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and standard material call-outs.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple design assignments.
Diploma in Mechanical Design Technology, Drafting, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
